The original intention of starting up this site was to give recipients of my regular (sometimes more than daily) emails a choice of whether to download the
large video attachments or not over their slow (sometimes dialup) connections.
YouTube has largely replaced the sending of emails with video attachments which has meant that this site has gone from hosting
video content to links to YouTube.
I don't really send that many emails out any more (perhaps two or three a month) so maybe I should rename this site to
"frankslinkstoyoutube.com"?
Might not have the same ring to it...
I've recently switched to commuting to and from work by train again and have found loads of extra time to do something useful and writing more software
(because obviously I don't get enough of it at work :) is what I've decided to do.
Over the next couple of weeks I'll be launching a new website called plasticcheese.com which will host this.
Currently, it has one program on it called TinyTracker - a tool that I use personally which helps keep track of what you do during your working day and helps you fill
out your timesheets. I can hear your excitement, let me tell you.
Maybe for my next project I'll spend time making this site a bit better... or worse?
